Do you know, which player has captained most ODI matches till now? Has anyone ever gotten the pride to lead in 250 matches?

Till date, in the history of One Day Internationals, Allan Border of Australia has captained the 5th most number of matches. He has captained 178 matches between 1985 and 1994 and won 107 matches.

Currently, Arjuna Ranatunga of Sri Lanka has captained the 4th most number of ODI matches. He has captained 193 matches between 1988 and 1999 and won 89 matches.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India has captained the 3rd most number of ODI matches. He has captained 199 matches between 2007 and 2016 and won 110 matches.

Stephen Fleming of New Zealand has captained the 2nd most number of ODI matches. He has captained 218 matches between 1997 and 2007 and won 98 matches.

And in the history of One Day Internationals, Ricky Ponting of Australia has captained the most number of matches. He has captained 230 matches between 2002 and 2012 and won 165 matches.
