Top 5 bowlers with best economy rate in ODIs

Do you know which bowler has the best career economy rate in history of ODIs? It is a surprising fact that, among the top 5, there is no one after the year 1990?

In the history of ODIs, Richard Hadlee of New Zealand has the 5th best career economy rate of 3.3. Hadlee has given 3407 runs bowling 6182 balls, in 115 matches in his career between 1973 and 1990.

Bob Willis of England currently occupies the 4th spot in the list with an economy rate of 3.28. Willis has given 1968 runs bowling 3595 balls, in 64 matches in his career between 1973 and 1984.

Mike Hendrick of England occupies the 3rd spot with an economy rate of 3.27. Hendrick has given 681 runs bowling 1248 balls, in 22 matches in his career between 1973 and 1981.

Max Walker of Australia currently occupies the 2nd spot with an economy rate of 3.25. Walker has given 546 runs bowling 1006 balls, in 17 matches in his career between 1974 and 1981.

And in the history of ODIs, Joel Garner of West Indies has the best career economy rate of 3.09. Garner has given 2752 runs bowling 5330 balls, in 98 matches in his career between 1977 and 1987.
