Top 5 batsmen with most Test half-centuries

Do you know which batsman holds the record of most number of Test half-centuries to his name? Can you guess the position of West Indian great Brian Lara among the top 5?

As of now, Ricky Ponting of Australia has hit the 5th most number of half-centuries in Tests. He has hit 62 half centuries in 168 matches, where he scored 13378 runs in his career between 1995 and 2012.

Allan Border of Australia currently occupies the 4th spot with 63 half centuries in 156 matches, where he scored 11174 runs in his career between 1978 and 1994.

Rahul Dravid of India occupies the 3rd spot with 63 half centuries in 164 matches, where he scored 13288 runs in his career between 1996 and 2012.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul of West Indies, currently occupies the 2nd spot with 66 half centuries in 164 matches, where he scored 11867 runs in his career between 1994 and 2015.

And finally, Sachin Tendulkar of India has hit the most number of half-centuries in Tests ever. He has hit 68 half centuries in 200 matches, where he scored 15921 runs in his career between 1989 and 2013.
