Do you know what the narrowest run gap between the two teams in a drawn Test is?
Can you remember any such incident which features in the top 10?

Till date the 10th closest draw in tests for 11 runs was played between New Zealand and Zimbabwe in 1997 in Bulawayo.
Against the target of 286 runs, New Zealand were able to score 275 for 8 wickets in 68 overs.

Currently, the 9th closest draw for 11 runs was played between West Indies and Australia in 1965 at Bridgetown.
Against the target of 253 runs, West Indies were able to score 242 for 5 wickets in 85 overs.

The 8th closest draw for 10 runs was played between New Zealand and Australia in 2001 in Brisbane.
Against the target of 284 runs, New Zealand were able to score 274 for 6 wickets in 57 overs.

The 7th closest draw for 9 runs was played between India and England in 1979 at The Oval.
Against the target of 438 runs, India were able to score 429 for 8 wickets in 150.5 overs.

The 6th closest draw for 8 runs was played between South Africa and India in 2013 at Johannesburg.
Against the target of 458 runs, South Africa were able to score 450 for 7 wickets in 136 overs.

The 5th closest draw for 8 runs was played between Australia and England in 1974 at Melbourne.
Against the target of 246 runs, Australia were able to score 238 for 8 wickets in 80 overs.

The 4th closest draw for 6 runs was played between England and West Indies in 1963 at Lord's.
Against the target of 234 runs, England were able to score 228 for 9 wickets in 91 overs.

The 3rd closest draw for 6 runs was played between India and West Indies in 1949 at Mumbai.
Against the target of 361 runs, India were able to score 355 for 8 wickets in 107 overs.

The 2nd closest draw for 1 run was played between India and West Indies in 2011 at Mumbai.
Against the target of 243 runs, India were able to score 242 for 9 wickets in 64 overs.

Till date the closest draw ever in a test for 1 run was played between England and Zimbabwe in 1996 at Bulawayo.
Against the target of 205 runs, England were able to score 204 for 6 wickets in 37 overs.
